Personal research / Data transport

finding-alpha-sync

A personal tool for transferring research snapshots to and from the operator's Google Drive.

The workflow uses rclone on the operator's own computer. This website provides application information and a privacy policy; it does not run the sync or request access to your Google account.

Portable research inputs

The tool transfers versioned research snapshot files, manifests and supporting data between local storage and a designated Google Drive location. It supports full snapshots and incremental updates, with content checks and local restoration.

It is intended for the operator's personal research workflow. It is not a public file-sharing service or a hosted trading application.

Authorization happens with Google

The operator authorizes a Google OAuth client through rclone. Google Drive access can include listing, reading, creating, updating and, where granted, deleting files. The intended workflow uses a designated snapshot location; this convention does not technically restrict a broader Drive permission.

OAuth credentials are handled by rclone in the operator's local configuration. This website has no sign-in form and does not receive those credentials.

Managed by the operator

The operator controls the sync destination, local copies and retention. Google access can be revoked in Google Account settings. Revocation does not delete files already stored in Google Drive or on local devices.

For data handling details, see the privacy policy. For questions, use the support email displayed on the Google OAuth consent screen for finding-alpha-sync.
